WHO WE ARE

Established over 20 years ago Tyne Valley Mountaineers (TVM) evolved and widened it's base. Welcoming members from further afield (primarily but not exclusively Northumberland), TVM now incorporates other mountain pursuits including climbing, munroe bagging, hill walking, mountain biking and a range of social activities attached to the above. The club meets once a quarter at The Lion & Lamb, Horsley. The evening may include a slide show or presentation from one of the members.

WHEN WE MEET

As a general rule we meet on the first Monday of the month from 7.30pm. The next pub night will be:

Monday May 7th 

Meet at the usual place and usual time i.e. the Lion and Lamb Horsley meet from 7.30 for 8.00.pm


The meet is just a social chance to get together and discuss club meets, past, present a future whilst getting to know any new members. Sometimes a slide show and a talk is involved.

Here is the calendar for 2012/13We have a small number of meets without an organiser - If you fancy filling one of the gaps please get in touch with me.Day meets take care of themelves reasonably well. The organiser sends an e mail to all members a few weeks beforehand and we take it from there.IMPORTANTWeekend meets involve advanced booking. Interested in coming on a club meet?

You will need to contact the meet coordinator - space is often limited at club meet venues. If you haven't booked your place in advance you could find yourself being turned away as there may be 'no room at the inn.'
